InternetVelocity is a program that will optimize the Internet settings to match the speed of your dial-up connection. It will achieve its goal by tweaking the TCP/IP parameters, removing banners and pop-ups, making a better use of proxies and prefetching web pages. When running, InternetVelocity will stay resident as an icon in the system tray. A double-click on that icon will let you access the multi-tabbed interface, that will allow to configure the program and see the performance achieved. Despite the numerous tabs, the interface of the program is very intuitive, and you will have no difficulties when using the program, as every step you will need to do is clearly explained. Through the tabs, you will be able to adjust the recommended TCP/IP settings, set the size and location of the cache files, tell the system how you would like it to prefetch web pages, in case you want it to do that, set your proxy server's settings and watch a graphic, showing you the performance of your Internet connection. This graphic will show you the increase of the connection speed, the time saved, and the banners and adds that were eliminated.
